Wintek extends investment project in Quang Chau Industrial Park - Bac Giang Province
This morning, on 31 July 2014, in the Office of the People's Committee of Bac Giang Province, Mr. Bui Van Hai - Chairman of People's Committee of Bac Giang province has welcomed Chairman of Wintek Corporation and Board of Directors of Wintek Vietnam Co., Ltd.
Wintek Corporation is specialized in manufacturing the world's leading products on the touch screen and liquid crystal display (LCD) which have small size to medium size. In addition, Wintek Corporation also specializes in researching and developing, design, producing and selling touch panel, transmission device, TFT LCD / LCM and OLED screen used for mobile phone, tablet, laptop computer, communication product, digital camera, and handheld portable navigation device.

On 18 March 2011, People's Committee of Bac Giang Province has granted the investment certificate to Wintek Vietnam Co., Ltd for the project which manufactures liquid crystal display with the initial investment capital of 250 million USD and was increased to 1.12 billion USD in April 2012. Immediately after completing the construction of the factory, Wintek Vietnam urgently goes on recruitment of employment and goes into manufacture. After 3 years of operation, with positive business results, Wintek Corporation plans to go onto extend the Wintek factory in Vietnam. Land use is expected to expand for the project up to 100 hectares with an investment capital equivalent to the current project scale. The expansion project of the Wintek Vietnam is expected to continue to be deployed in Quang Chau Industrial Park in Bac Giang Province by Saigon – Bac Giang Industrial Park Corporation (a subsidiary of Kinhbac City Development Holding Corporation) as an infrastructure investor.
Quang Chau Industrial Park was established under the Decision No. 637 / TTg dated 25/4/2006 of the Prime Minister, a total area of 426 hectares in Quang Chau Commune, Viet Yen District, Bac Giang Province, located on the important roads linking the major economic centers such as Hanoi - Hai Phong - Quang Ninh, Noi Bai international airport, Hai Phong sea port and Cai Lan sea port (Quang Ninh). It is very convenient for transportation of import and export goods. It was built in the model of modern architectural complex consisting urban area - industrial park - entertainment and service zone. The transportation systems in the Industrial Park are planned in the form of checkerboard squares with big loads to ensure convenient transportation to every land lot. The Industrial Park invested to build power supply systems, information technology, water supply, sewage treatment which are very modern and other fully and stable modern service network to serve the needs of all the enterprises in the IP. Standard factory and office built to serve the demands of leasing and sale of investors.
