KBC hold a seminar “Economic cooperation between enterprises from Saga province (Japan) and provinces in Vietnam”
On November 24th 2016 in Hanoi, Kinhbac City Development Holding Corporation (KBC) in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs - Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Consulate General of Vietnam in Fukuoka held a seminar on: “Economic cooperation between enterprises from Saga province (Japan) and provinces in Vietnam”
There are 40 Japanese enterprises which are from variety of business sectors such as manufacturing, construction, banking, textile, education, electronic device, etc. This is the largest business delegation from Saga coming to Vietnam compared with the last two times in 2012 and 2013. From Vietnam, leaders of the Department of Foreign Affairs (Ministry of Foreign Affairs) and representatives from Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong and Thua Thien Hue province also attended the seminar. KBC was honored to participate in the seminar as an infrastructure developer of industrial zones in order to introduce to Japanese investors about KBC and its industrial zones in provinces.

Japan is an important economic partner of Vietnam and the first country in G7 group recognized the market economy regulation of Vietnam (10/2011). Japan is the fourth largest trade partner of Vietnam, with two-way trade reached US $28 billion (2015) and over US $21.6 billion (first 9 months of 2016); is the second largest investor in the total number of 114 countries and territories investing in Vietnam with over 3,000 direct investment projects, the total registered capital of over US $ 39 billion (as of June 4/2016). Japan is the ODA largest donor for Vietnam, accounting for 30% of total ODA commitment of the international community for Vietnam. Cooperation between the ministries of the two countries and especially cooperation between localities and Japanese enterprises have achieved substantial progress. So far, 23 local pairs of Vietnam and Japan signed cooperation documents.
In this context of relationship, in the visit of the Saga business delegation, the seminar on "Economic cooperation between Saga enterprises and Vietnamese localities" was held, aiming to create more opportunities to share information, exchange views, contributing to further strengthen cooperative relations between Vietnamese localities and Japan in general and in particular with Saga province.
The overview seminar
In the seminar, representative from Department of Foreign Affairs-Ministry of Foreign Affairs and representative from the business delegation had a speech that appreciate the relationship between Vietnam and Japan, this relationship developed rapidly, deeply and comprehensively and at all levels. The Saga business delegation is interested in studying the investment environment such as: Infrastructure, tax intensives, labor cost, etc in localities in particular and Vietnamese environment in general.

Next up, also in the seminar, representatives from Bac Giang, Bac Ninh, Thua Thien Hue provinces and Hai Phong city had a speech which introduced more their potentialities, advantages, preferential treatment to attract investment from foreign countries, especially from Japan. KBC has been developing IPs in those provinces, namely: Que Vo IP, Nam Son Hap Linh IP in Bac Ninh province; Quang Chau IP in Bac Giang province, Trang Due IP in Hai Phong city, Lien Chieu, Hoa Khanh IP in Da Nang city and Chan May IP in Thua Thien Hue province.
